With reference to the request in paragraph 4 of

Your Excellency's letter No. D/2096/11 of the 26th. of last Septem-

-ber that the memorandum of transfer of the Battery Area should be

completed pending the settlement of the other questions still out-

-standing with regard to Mount Davis, I have the honour to forward

herewith a draft memorandum of transfer with the proposed amendments

marked in red ink. The last clause but one has been excised be-

-cause the area which will be subject to clearance rights will as

you desire form a separate agreement. The plan will be those attach-

-ed to the old copy and its counterpart, which I enclose herewith

for convenience of reference.

I shall be glad to learn whether Your Excellen-

-cy concurs in the draft as amended.
